About Me

On a professional level, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with over 19 years collectively studying, practicing, and teaching in the field of psychology/mental health—13 years of which are in direct clinical experience. I am passionate about working with both individuals, as well as couples and families. My experience is diverse and eclectic, drawing from a variety of wisdom traditions and approaches, including that of Somatic Psychology, East-West Psychology, mindfulness and meditation, as well as non-western wisdom traditions including spiritual counseling, and supporting individuals in integration of transpersonal and traumatic experiences. I see mental health akin to exercise for the whole person, a place to share thoughts, aspiration, fears, and life’s challenges in a safe, supportive and confidential environment.

On a personal level, two of my great life joys are that of being a husband and a father. I am passionate about spending time in nature—hiking, mountain biking, and a variety of wilderness activities. I also value growing food, keeping chickens, and appreciate gonfu tea ceremony. Additionally, I am an artist, musician, photographer, traveler, and avid lover of all animals.
